Vrushika Mehta, a popular actress known for her role in Dil Dosti Dance (D3), traveled to Mumbai specifically for Navratri. Originally from Gujarat, she expresses her deep love for Navratri and garba, stating that it's a vital part of her identity. Vrushika shares childhood memories of being competitive in garba competitions, where her mom would bribe her with chocolates to sit still for makeup. She describes her favorite Navratri outfits, preferring lightweight chaniya cholis for comfort and graceful spins. While shooting reels, she opts for heavier jewelry to make a statement, but chooses delicate pieces for dancing. Though she currently lives in Canada, Vrushika dreams of experiencing Navratri in Gujarat someday, as she believes it holds the true essence of the festival.Describing her childhood memories of the festival, she recalls, "I had a strong desire to win every garba competition during my childhood days. My mom used to dress me up and keep me still by tempting me with chocolates while she painted three dots on my chin. I was very competitive and determined to win a prize each night. It was all about dancing with passion and feeling like a little star." Sharing her preferred Navratri outfit, she mentions, "I adore flared chaniya cholis, but I opt for lightweight ones for comfort and elegance during spins. For jewelry, I choose heavy pieces for reel shooting to make a statement, while delicate pieces matching my outfit when dancing." Looking forward to celebrating Navratri with her husband Saurabh, she expresses, "Saurabh enjoys garba, and I look forward to learning his unique style. Although we haven't celebrated Navratri together yet, we did have fun playing garba during our wedding events. I am eager for the day we can celebrate Navratri together." Vrushika reveals, "My favorite garba moves are spins and the playful popatiyu; I also enjoy incorporating dodhiyu and trikoniya moves for variety." As for her favorite garba song, she exclaims, "Dakla is one of my all-time favorites due to its infectious energy. I am a big fan of Falguni Pathak; her songs are iconic and set the perfect mood for Navratri." Reflecting on her fondest on-set Navratri memory, Vrushika reminisces, "During the filming of Dil Dosti Dance, we shot Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje, which was a blast and took half a day. Our D3 get-togethers always involve garba."
